We are looking for a highly qualified and creative WordPress website front end designer who is a self-starter, highly motivated, and can work quickly with minimal oversite. You will join our website design team under the direction of our Director of Development. This position will be responsible for rapidly developing 1020 page website projects from infancy to deployment (this includes graphic design, copy writing, and creative design elements) with minimal outside involvement. This position may involve direct communication with our clients via phone and email. We have an extremely diverse portfolio of clients; however, we have a niche in the medical community. Most of our website projects are for small businesses and not often large projects or Ecommerce. We are a considerate, and dedicated organization that truly values each employee and their wellbeing. Skill Requirements:
Ability to create and customize WordPress Elementor powered templates/ mockups to match client needs, including creating layout, typography, colors, and images from conception to launch.
Understanding of UX design and branding principles to ensure consistency in design elements such as colors, fonts, and imagery with the client's brand guidelines.
Knowledge of typography principles to choose and pair fonts effectively for headers, body text, and other elements on the website.
Understanding of color theory to create harmonious color schemes that convey the desired mood or message for the website.
Copywriting: Skilled in crafting persuasive and engaging copy that effectively communicates the message and drive user action and engagement.
Integrate a wide range of WordPress plugins, API calls and 3rd party apps and forms
Apply best practices for analytics, SEO, user experience
Manage web development projects and work with outside partners/agencies for more complex development needs
Work closely with our Sales Team for client direction, including in person consultations with the client on location or in our office.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in WordPress development
Experience with Elementor - WordPress Page Builder or equivalent.
Strong creative design capabilities
Ability to conceptualize and design a website from the ground up not just change templates.
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator) Must be able to resize and scale images for web deployment.
Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Strong design sensibility and creative problem-solving skills
Strong sense of ownership/leadership and confidence
Ability to write content as needed and improvise / improve content provided by clients
Strong communication skills (both in person and in writing)
Ability to relay technical information to less web-savvy clients
Proficient in engaging with clients for design consultations and delivering design concepts in presentations.
