Summary: Seeking a Thermal Engineer to conduct conjugate heat transfer modeling and analysis for spacecraft and hardware using Ansys Fluent.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent

• Strong background in heat transfer and fluid dynamics

• Minimum 3 years of experience in thermal design and analysis using ANSYS FLUENT and meshing

• Proficiency in ANSYS SpaceClaim or Discovery CAD for modeling complex systems

• U.S. Citizenship required

• Ability to obtain Secret level security clearance

Preferred Skills:

• Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent

• Experience with spacecraft or satellite development programs

• Experience using the Thermal Desktop software package

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct conjugate heat transfer modeling and analysis for spacecraft and hardware using Ansys Fluent

• Perform thermal model validation using test and in-flight data

• Support thermal design decisions with analysis and calculation

• Conduct thermal design trade studies balancing performance, resource use, risk, cost, and schedule

• Coordinate with program and engineering staff on thermal design, analysis, and test matters

Pay Details: $60.00 to $100.00 per hour
