PRIMARY FUNCTION: Spa Massage Therapist (On-Call)
DEPARTMENT: Spa
REPORTS TO: Spa Manager
AVAILABLE SHIFTS: Monday through Wednesday, 2 PM to 7 PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Provide exceptional massage services for luxury clientele, including but not limited to: body treatments, hot stone, scalp massage, pre-natal, foot reflexology, deep tissue, Swedish.
- Communicate professionally and eloquently with luxury clientele.
- Drive retail sales and up-sell spa offerings to maximize profit and exceed guest expectations.
- Adapt to clients' needs.
- Consistently ask the necessary pre-service questions.
- Fully and clearly explain the services and the action needed by the spa guest throughout the service.
- Provide a warm and sincere greeting and farewell.
- Stock and tidy treatment rooms after services.
- Maintain seamless communication with the rest of the Spa team regarding stocking and ordering needs within the treatment rooms.
- Offer follow-up recommendations regarding treatments, products, stretching, and stress relied to further add to each guest's experience.
- Maintain a calm and comforting demeanor at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Must possess a South Carolina Massage Therapy license.
- Must have liability insurance.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Must follow all spa treatment protocols.
- Experience with luxury clientele preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent judgement and discretion.
- Thorough understanding of and passion for the entire wellness, fitness, and health lifestyle.
- Ability to lift fifty pounds.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
