We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team in Cusseta, GA.

Job Description: As a Sign Language Interpreter with ProCare Therapy, you will provide interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. You will facilitate communication between students, teachers, and other school staff to ensure an inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction and activities for students who use American Sign Language (ASL).
• Support students in understanding lessons, participating in discussions, and accessing educational content.
• Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to adapt and modify instructional materials as needed.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of interpreting.
• Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• RID certification (NIC, CI/CT) or equivalent.
• Previous experience working as a sign language interpreter in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff.
