Do you want to be part of something EXCITING?

As the Warehouse/Production Manager , you will jump in as a day-to-day, hands-on problem solver to help the facility run efficiently -- you'll seek opportunities to standardize and document processes, policies, structure and review Key Performance Indicators (KPI) across the facility. Youll review costs and recommend opportunities for improvements, while working in collaboration with the team. You will engage in training, coaching/mentoring, selection, and development of effective leaders and their respective teams.You will create and lead a preventative maintenance program for the equipment, review and suggest (where needed) automation or other efficiencies to drive the bottom line.

Our client, around since the 1950s, is a leading consumer and industrial brand in the construction/building supply products industry.

  • Based in Fairfield Country, with proximity to both 95 and the Boston Post Road, this growing company sources, manufactures and assembles, kits and distributes more than $40MM of Made in the USA products annually.
  • With an impressive growth plan, this company hopes to double, then double again, in the next few years through both organic and acquisitive growth.
  • You will help support the growth of the businesses, as they grow to fill this 80,000 sq. ft. facility with 30+ workers currently one shift.
  • The scope of the growth plans could the light manufacturing footprint, adding kitting lines, etc. thus increasing headcount, shifts, shipping, warehousing needs, etc.
  • There is a nearby warehouse/shipping facility and nearly $300K of product is shipped daily.
  • The products are consumer facing, distribution includes shipping to retailers DCs (i.e. Lowes warehouses), to consumers (via Amazon), as well as large-scale industrial deliveries (i.e. international, commercial construction services companies).

Qualifications:

  • Previous relevant experience (5+ years) in a hands on warehouse/production leadership role with a similarly sized, growing business.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (both inventory and ERP).
  • Exposure to continuous improvement and Lean practices/principles.
  • Knowledge/experience in supply chain, light manufacturing, shipping and quality are required and direct construction/building supply space may prove helpful.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelors or Associate degree preferred, not required.
