Are you seeking a position at a fast-growing private classical Christian school? We are seeking a Teacher's Aide for our elementary program, PBCA Lake Park. Palm Beach Christian Academy (PBCA) is the school ministry of Family Church. As a teacher aide, you will help shape future Christian leaders who will advance God’s church, community, and His Kingdom on earth. This position assists the classroom teacher with implementing our classical Christian curriculum which involves a love for ancient wisdom, instilling virtue, connecting Christ to every subject, and developing world class rhetorical skills. The ideal candidate will work closely with their team to create a vibrant classical Christian school culture. Reports to the School Administration Required Hours: 7:30am-3:30pm Responsibilities Support the classroom teacher by supervising students and provide learning support and guidance. Assist the teacher with the development and implementation of education plans as well as identify and solve issues with the educational, social and emotional development of students. Develop meaningful relationships with pupils, providing constructive feedback to help them grow and improve. Maintain daily records, track student progress and intervene to help students progress as necessary. Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment where the unique needs of all students are met. Follow Policies and Procedures as set forth by Administration. Provide a clean, safe, and nurturing classroom environment. Participate in all school meetings, trainings, and orientations. Complete all in-service hours on time. Turn in all required paperwork on time. Cooperate in school-wide supervision of students during out-of-school activities. Qualifications Evidence of strong Christian faith and values and acknowledgement of the School’s Statement of Faith and Staff Leadership Covenant. Bachelor’s degree in education, bachelor’s degree with a teaching certificate, or working towards a bachelor's degree in education. Knowledge of elementary curriculum and the ability to implement it. Evidence of ability to interact collaboratively with students, parents, and Administration. Evidence of excellent oral and written skills. Must pass drug test, fingerprints, and level 2 background check. Skills Communication both written and oral. Decision making. Commitment to school’s vision and mission. Classroom leadership.
