Position: Medical Assistant

Specialty: Corrections

Medical Assistant Pay:

$30/hour
$45/hour overtime
Full-time hours
Weekly direct deposit; every Friday
Benefits available; Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k

Schedule and Timeline:

Now interviewing and hiring for a September / October start date
13-week direct contract with a high potential to extend
Full-time hours; 40/week
8-hour day shift

Medical Assistant Job Details:

Preparing and reviewing health records prior to medical exams.
Preparing inmate patients for examination by taking vital signs, performing Snellen exams, height/weight measurements, pregnancy screening and other data collection as needed.
Assisting with intake and screening of new jail bookings.
Transcribing medical orders, and inputting data.
Cleaning and stocking treatment areas.
Administering one-time doses of medication ordered by prescribers, including oral and injectable medications.
Performing venipuncture and collecting and preparing other lab specimens as ordered.
Performing electrocardiogram (EKG's), tuberculosis skin testing (PPD), blood glucose monitoring, and routine treatments.

Medical Assistant Qualifications:

2+ years of Medical Assistant experience; front and back office.
BLS Certification or ability to obtain
Clean background check upon hire.
