Together. Every day. CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a GIS Technician to join our Power & Manufacturing – Asset Management Team at our Indianapolis, IN location. This is a hybrid role based at a client site and may require some local travel.

The GIS Technician is responsible for providing Geographic Information System (GIS) technical services, which include map design, data creation, and basic spatial analysis and data management for our clients. REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS certificate, or related degree A minimum of 1 year of relevant GIS experience is required Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Basic knowledge of geographically referenced data required (projections, datum, map scales, etc.) Experience with ESRI software (ArcGIS or other similar software) required Familiarity with utilities, water, and stormwater systems is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and perform tasks with a high degree of efficiency, accuracy and quality Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance details with the big picture Strong written and verbal communications skills Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task Ability to work independently and as an effective team member Ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner with both internal and external customers

SALARY RANGE:

$46,000 - $57,000 Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
