As a member of the Solution Architecture Team, within the Information Technology Bureau, the GIS Administrator/Developer is responsible for identifying, implementing, automating, standardizing, and documenting Geographic Information System (GIS) related workflows and activities within DEQ at an agency-wide level. In this role, you'll: · Craft the future of environment-based GIS technology: * Administer, develop, maintain, and enhance our state agency’s ArcGIS Enterprise v11.3 GIS platform hosted in Azure by ROK Technologies. · *Leverage your skills in a combination of the following areas: SQL queries, data reporting, Python development, REST APIs, web development, system integrations,Windows server administration/IIS, troubleshooting GIS workflows and applications, managing Web certificates (SSL, wildcard),and leveraging the Esri ArcGIS toolset. · Become a GIS integration and automation champion: * Work with Agency staff, ITB colleagues, and the GIS Team to integrate business and workgroup level spatial data management and analysis needs. Determine and implement methods to automate data integrations, use, discovery, and distributions for theDEQ and the public. · *Strengthen and support the foundation of the DEQ GIS footprint Ensure platform, license, and permissions standards are upheld and implemented throughadministration of user roles, privileges, and associated security measures. Coordinate QA/QC testing of upgrades to the platform with our collaborative and engaged agency GIS Team. Support the agency by working closely with DEQ’s GIS Analysts to troubleshoot questions, cases, and technical issues. Work with our GIS host, ROK Technologies, to support and coordinate deployments and upgrades, SSL certificates, and maintenance of ArcGIS Enterprise in our Azure cloud instance. * Deliver solutions that have impact: * Design, develop, and implement mission-critical GIS solutions using the modern Esri ArcGIS toolset for diverse needs across the DEQ that has a strong GIS foundation, enterprise-wide use, and support from top to bottom of the organization. * *Thrive in a dynamic environment: * Collaborate with a supportive and fun team in a GIS-focused setting using the Scaled-Agile framework.Be a key member of the DEQ GIS Roundtable made up of developers, GIS Analysts, and Power Users who collaborate to inform, fix, enhance, and expand GIS across DEQ. * *Enjoy a healthy work-life balance: You work to live, learn, grow, and thrive.
