Description: Burlington Township School District is excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and experienced individual to join our athletics department as the Girls Flag Football Head Coach. We are seeking a dynamic leader to establish and grow our girls flag football program, fostering an environment that promotes athletic excellence, teamwork, and personal development.


Responsibilities:

  1. Program Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive flag football program that emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence.
  2. Coaching: Plan, organize, and conduct effective practice sessions, focusing on fundamental skills, strategies, and conditioning.
  3. Game Management: Lead the team during all competitions, including pre-game preparation, in-game coaching, and post-game analysis.
  4. Player Development: Mentor and support student-athletes in their athletic and personal growth, providing guidance on and off the field.
  5. Team Building: Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes teamwork, respect, and a strong work ethic.
  6. Recruitment: Actively recruit and retain student-athletes, promoting participation in the flag football program.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with school administrators, athletic directors, and other coaches to ensure program alignment with school policies and goals.
  8. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with players, parents, school staff, and the community regarding team activities, expectations, and performance.
  9. Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  10. Administration: Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, equipment management, and maintaining accurate records of player participation and team performance.
  11. Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in coaching and flag football, participating in professional development opportunities as needed.

Seeking a successful candidate who demonstrates the ability to:

  • The candidate must possess a valid NJDOE teacher certificate or a substitute teaching certificate.
  • Must meet New Jersey residency requirements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and motivated. Self-starter. Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Required criminal history background check, proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status.

    First aid and CPR certification
