Forklift Mechanic

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our team. The Forklift Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all forklifts and other heavy material handling equipment are properly maintained and repaired to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance on forklifts and heavy material handling equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Replacing damaged or worn parts
• Ensuring that all forklifts and heavy material handling equipment meet safety standards
• Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a forklift mechanic or similar role
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience with heavy material handling equipment, including forklifts
• Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of liquid propane and diesel engines
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
