The City of Delafield, (pop. 7,165), nestled in scenic Waukesha County, WI is looking for a dynamic and visionary person to become the next Executive Director for Delafield Promotion & Tourism to lead the city's tourism efforts! If you are ready to shape and promote Delafield's unique characteristics and lodging partners to potential visitors, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
This is a highly responsible, professional and an administrative position, accountable for the management of organizational operations, Visitor Center & Tourism Office management, marketing project tracking and other promotional activities. This part-time position will require an average level of effort, 25-30 hours per week, with hours based on cyclical workload. Responsibilities include both the day-to-day tourism business & office operations as well as long-range strategic marketing plans to promote the City of Delafield as a destination.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in hospitality, tourism, marketing, public relations, and/or communications are preferred. The starting rate of pay for this part-time position is $25-$30 per hour dependent upon qualifications, with a comprehensive benefit package prorated, based on the part-time status of this position.
The successful candidate will be a goal-orientated and a self-motivated individual that can work independently but with transparency within a team environment. They will have a minimum of five years of increasing responsibility in a professional/managerial background as an Executive Director or similar position. Proven skills and experience in hospitality, marketing, public relations, communications, tourism, strategic planning in marketing, proficiency in the use of office equipment and related software, social media management and community engagement skills are some of the skills needed.
