Job Details We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Endoscopy Nurse Manager to lead our state-of-the-art endoscopy unit in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will combine clinical expertise with strong leadership skills to ensure the highest quality of patient care and operational efficiency.
- Oversee daily operations of the endoscopy unit, managing a team of about 15-20 nurses and technicians
- Collaborate with gastroenterologists and other medical staff to optimize patient flow and procedure scheduling
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and infection control protocols
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Manage inventory, budgeting, and resource allocation for the endoscopy department
- Coordinate staff education and training programs to maintain up-to-date clinical skills and knowledge
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and performance evaluation of endoscopy staff
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff, promoting evidence-based practice
- Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless patient care across the healthcare system
Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts RN license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of endoscopy nursing experience
- At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
- Current certifications in BLS
- GI-specific certifications (e.g., CGRN) highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of endoscopic procedures and related equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office suite
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning
- Capable of lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
- Visual acuity to read monitors and assess patient conditions
