As a Full-Time Bus Aide at Child Advocates of Blair County, your role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of our young passengers during their journey to and from school and events. You'll be the friendly face greeting each child at pick-up and bidding them farewell at drop-off, creating a warm atmosphere of trust. Your responsibilities include buckling each child into their seat before the bus moves-safety first! To maintain order, you'll engage the kids with fun activities throughout the ride. It's crucial to ensure that every child is handed over to a responsible adult listed on their Emergency List, preventing any child from being left unattended.
Lastly, you'll communicate preliminary pick-up and drop-off times and locations to parents at least two days before school starts, helping everyone stay informed and prepared for a fantastic school year!
To thrive as a Full-Time Bus Aide at Child Advocates of Blair County, you'll need a unique blend of skills and qualifications that ensure our young riders feel safe and cared for. A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is essential, as it demonstrates your foundational education.
